the recommended oil is obviously the polaris synthetic oil or whatever. my question is this, what oil can i put in that is readily available other than at the dealer (for $6 a quart).
since i just drained my oil and won't be able to get any on sunday other than the hardware store.
thanks.

Mobil 1 Synthetic is good stuff if you can find it in the right viscosity rating. If you can't find that, I would look for any other synthetic I could find, maybe Castrol. Hope this helps.

speaking of viscosity, now that winter will soon be upon us, what would be the recommended weight for my sp500?

if my riding style comes in to play, i usually ride faster than slower for longer distances, since i'm street legal.

thanks

Your winters are colder than ours but we run 10W40 for 9 months out of the year & in summer we run 20w50. Supposedly the oil from the manufacturers is designed specially for ATV's. I think this is hype & not facts.

Tell the wife "HI". We should no in another month whats going on out here. There is still a possibility of moving to Denver.
