Default Predator wont start...

I was racing MX on sunday and between motos my battery went dead. I got it jump started and today it wont start. I took the battery out and charged it up, when I put it back in and tried to start it, it did nothing. I checked my battery and it was charged to 12.7 volts. I tried it a few more times and heard a clicking kind of noise from under the seat somewhere, back by the battery I believe. I dont see any damaged wires and everything looked good on a quick check of the cables and wires. Has anyone had anything like this happen to them, and if so how did you fix it. It has done this to me before and recharging the battery fixed the problem, until now that is. Any help is greatly appriciated! I will call my dealer in the morning but they will probably try to get me to bring it to them and charge me an arm and a leg, so I dont really want to do that. Thanks again

You might just need a new battery. I am not positive, but your Pred may have lost the juice from the battery. You can also try and clean the air filter. Hope this helps.

My air filter is clean, and my battery seems to be holding the charge. The tail light is lighting up good when I turn the key and the green neutral light is lighting up good to, until I press the start button then it fades some and takes a sec to get bright again. I might try a different battery but I dont really think that is what is causing the problem. Any one else have any suggestions?

the clicking is your solenoid it is behind the plastic cover infront of batt. If it starts from a jump then it might be the batt dosen't have a enough chanking amps in it an is shot. If the starter is getting bad it will need more amps to get it to work too. You also need to find if there is something drawing the power out of your batt. recharge the batt an leave it over night not hooked up to quad an the check it agine the next day see if you lost any charge. Hope the help you out.

I have the same problem right now. Only my room mate left the switch on for a few days and killed it. It is your battery hands down. I found that out when I took to the battery out of the motorcycle and threw it on the quad, just to go riding this weekend. And it started right up. I put the original battery the charger but havent tried it on the quad yet.

Thats what my dealer thought it was as well. They said that the batteries short out for some reason. I picked up a new battery today but havent had the chance to put it in yet. I hope it fixes it! Those batteries arent cheap!

Had the same exact problem with my brother raptor. Turns out to be a loose connection. Doesn't do any good to have a full battery if the juice doesn't get to the starter. remove and clean all connection, tighten and see what happens.

On the raptor you would here a click under the seat. Found out by tugging at a few wires that the connections were loose.
