Dont worry about all the aftermarket parts you see for the raptor. There are plenty for the pred. Not so many for the 05 but there coming out. All you need is a new pipe. Better to get a full system. Or Rath Racing header, with a slip on. And finally a new intake. You will destroy any raptor you see. Along with most everything else. Including banshee's with 400 kits. Just be warned that its a LOT of power. To bad for me a friend thought he could handle it and fliped it and caused around $700 worth of damages. Really all that ment was that I got to put the parts I want on it earlyer then planed.

you shouldnt be drag racing just yet. You will have some problems later on if you dont break it in right. 10 hours before going over half throttle. Changing the oil and filter at 2 hours and 10 hours. That should be a good break in. If not you will not properly seat the piston rings. Then you will be forced to replace the piston and bore out the cylinder wall.

I would change the oil again anyway, just to be safe. Both plugs have magnets on them... if they are mostly bare, then you ar OK. If they look like they have mud on them, then you'll be glad you changed the oil. The manual also says to change the oil after 10 hours of use... not 20. Sooner if you ride hard. Oil changes are fairly cheap. Get a reusable oil filter and a big old jug of Polaris PS4.

Congrats on the purchase! Put some pics up.

Scott's Performance sells one. They have a bunch of different manufacturers listed. For Polaris they have the Predator 500 and "all 4-stroke spin on filters". A little pricey... the break even point would be about ten oil changes for the Predator if you're buying a good filter. The cheap Ebay filters would obviously extend your break even point. They also claim better performance over paper or brass filters.

I'm using the standard Polaris filters now, but I'm considering one of these. The price at my dealership is just too much. $35 for a Predator change kit.
