i bought a front fender off of ebay and paid $10.65 for shipping. now a buddy of mine is trying to send me a fender of the same size from about the same distance and the shipping cost is like $94..i even check DHL,UPS,ANd FedEX and all their prices are like this....how can the people on ebay get to ship for 10-25 dollars, but we can't???????

they may be eating the cost just to get the part out ... or have an account that gives them high volume discounts. But my guess is it's easier for them just to flat rate it and eat the extra.

that may be it, but it don't make sense why just a normal seller, such as one who has only sold 10-20 items can afford to sell a front end for 50 bucks plus 20 bucks shipping, that is alot of money they are losing, you know? anyone else got any idea or any idea who my buddy can go through, he is out of Oklahoma and i am in tennessee

IMO your best bet is FedEX ... but you must put it in the smallest box possible ... they ship just about anything.

That doesn't even sound right. I own a masonry business and just had 2 pallets of cement shipped 200 miles for 100.00, and the weight was 6400lbs!

Therein lies your problem. Whenever I have checked the shipping rate using UPS' web site it has never been near that amount when I walked into the UPS hub to ship it. I would suggest you have your buddy take it to the hub and get the real skinny. You may not have to put it in a box. Sometimes odd shaped parts can be wrapped and labeled as long as they can handle the abuse in shipment.
