Default Help! My TB250 won't start!

Hey. I went out on my Trailblazer 250 about 10 days ago in a minimal amount of mud. The next day I washed it with a hose and sponge, and afterwards, it took about 15 minutes to get it started. After it started I drove up and down the street for about 5 minutes and then turned it off, I immediately tried to start it again, and it started right up again. Well, I just took out of the garage after not starting it for the past week and a half, and now it won't start again! It won't even turn over. I need help, any suggestions? Oh, by the way, it is a 2004 Trailblazer 250 with no mods, if that helps. Thanks.

Check the battery. See if you have power to the lights. Is the switch on? Maybe you left somthing on and the battery went dead. Can you pull start it?

Default Help! My TB250 won't start!

I had to use the recoil to get it started the other day and then I let it run for a good 5 minutes and shut it off. Right afterwards, I tried starting it again with the key, and it started right up! But then the next day I tried to start it with the key, and it wouldn't start again. I am so frustrated. How does the battery keep dying? I am not leaving the lights on, and the run switch is always turned to off, so any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong?

disconnect the battery after you charge it and then go back the next day and hook it back up and see if it starts. If it does not you need a battery. Hope this helps

The battery has a dead cell in it. The atv will not give a full charge on a dead battery. Thats why you can start it the within a few minuts but not the next day. When there is a low cell that means the other cells will constantly try to charge the low cell until they all even out but with a dead cell it will discharge the good cells. Get a new battery and you should be ok.

Thanks for the input guys. Just one more question: How could I have a dead battery cell already? I bought it brand new, and I have ridden it about 5 times (mostly up and down my street for 10 minutes). I am just curious so that if I do replace the battery, I don't want to get another dead cell and have to replace that one, too. Is it something I did wrong or just a fluke? Thanks.
