The best otd price I can find locally on the 2005 Sportsman 500 Ho is $7200 Id be willing to drive a few hundred miles if I could find a dealer in the Northwest that was more reasonable. Wish I lived near Polaris of Chattanooga http://www.polarisofchattanooga.com/
Any one here know of a dealer in the NW that has good prices?

You should try your hardest to haggle...My buddy just bought a 500 H.O and was going to pay $7290.00 out the door. I told him it sounded a bit high and to call another dealer. We did and just told the guy we have been shopping around and were looking for a great deal... We were pretty cool with the guy. My buddy lied and said one dealer quoted $6900.00 out the door so the salesman told us to hold on and came back a few minutes later and said $6750.00 out the door...My buddy said SOLD. Even though the dealer was an hour away (which we told him that...it kindda helped with the barganing). All I can say is be cool with the salesman and they should reciprocate. If not there are other dealers out there!! Hope this helps.

I’m sure I can work a dealer down a few hundred dollars. But when they are $1600 +/- over what other dealers are selling them out the door it’s not likely they will even come close. I don't have a problem with someone making a fair profit on a sale, but the dealers I’ve found in my region are sticking to MSRP + prices.
It is hard to believe with all the dealers East of the Mississippi that have fair and reasonable prices that their isn’t one dealer in the Northwest that sells Polaris units at a fair discount off MSRP.
I’m even looking into the “North of the Border” option.

TheGrandPoohBah,
You can get a Sportsman 700 for $5999.00 + tax here in NC. Let me know if you're interested and I'll post the link to the dealer with their advertisement about this on it. This would still be less than you're price on the 500 and you get a 700!

I love your prices back East but your dealers can't ship me a new ATV. Their contracts with the MFG won't let them ship out of their area. I need to either find a dealer in the Northwest, within driving distance, or Canada with your quality pricing.

There is a Polaris dealer in Sandpoint, Idaho (about 50 miles north of Coeur d'Alene) that usually has some pretty good prices. I haven't seen an ad in the paper from them for at least a couple of weeks so I can't give you any examples but you might try them. You can find them on the Polaris web site by doing a dealer search. www.polarisindustries.com Good luck!
