thinking of getting a new predator. I was just concerned about how the predator would handle my riding conditions. Rocks, mud, snow. Also would it hold up as well as a sportsman in these conditions. Thanks for the help.

At times you will probably miss the 4x4, and there are situations in which the sportsman will be better. But I think the "fun" of the pred will definitely keep you happy.

I use to own a 660 raptor, it was very fun and very FAST, i got rid of it because of all those same reasons. I got stuck all the time in mud, sometimes not very deep mud. It really didnt move in the snow, it would get a little built up under the front skid and it was done, climbing rocks, its gonna put you on your back more than once. You sound like you ride the same stuff I do and I have been on both sides of the fence, Im a lot happier with the utility. IMO, you should just buy a faster more powerful utility.

I have the 800efi sportsman. Also the 700efi. I would love the fun factor of the predator. But I am afraid of damage and getting stuck in this rough NH terrain.

I ride a lot and would not get a sport if you don't want to be limited.

Well you could do what I did, have both. I traded my KQ in for a TLD Pred a couple days ago. I had more fun on the Pred, but when I want to do some mudding or rock climbing, I get out the 800.

i had some of the same issues when i was looking for a wheeler. have u thought about a scrambler? it has a lot of sport and still goes thru the mud well even with the stock tires. i put 25's on mine and still very sporty. i can still get a wheelie with the stock motor, no clutch mods.

Yeah, you sound like a good candidate for a Scrambler.
