Default Sp 700 flat spot

I understand the sp 700 carb starts to slow up around 40 mph. Is a clutch kit the anwser? Is there different springs from polaris to use or leave the clutch alone and go after some thing different. I want to get the most out of my machine with out affecting reliability. I am new to 4 stroke belt drive machines.

If you want the most out of the 700 then change the primary spring. This will greatly improve the performance. I would say try an EPI pink or maroon spring. Either one of these springs pull hard from mid to top. The maroon will have a little more agressive take off but if you like the stock take off for rocks and slow trails then the pink is great. I thought my 330 was a snail and it was until I changed the spring. Now it halls for a 330.
