Hatfield and McCoys

All,
we leave for Hatfield and McCoys on Thursday morning at 5am. They are calling for scattered thunder storms down there. Looks like we will get a little wet and a whole lot muddy. I will post pictures upon my return on Sunday evening.

We're going down next weekend, Weve went for three years and love it but last year it rained a lil and man it was awful in some spots. My 400 actually hit a whole of water at one point and it killed everything right on the spot lol.

have a great time dude, oh just a few suggestions if I may. bring some of those white painters breath masks due to the heavy dust/dirt, and maybe go to the hardware shop and get a package of do it yourself laminating covers so you can print out a color map and then laminate it so the water doesn't ruin the map. worked great for us while we were down there.
where are you staying and which trail system do you guys plan on riding? If your riding the browning fork trails I recommend trails 35, 23, 26,25,41,42. If you plan your paths you can make all the good trails then go back and ride others. if you have time, on trail 25 there is a no access road that your not suppose to go on but all the locals tell you to check it out. that's the access road to get to the old abandoned cabin which everyone writes their names and messages on. pretty neat. you can pics of out trip and even a copy of the Browning fork trailmap on the link below.

silverbullet2005,
we are going to stay at Devil Anse Campground. We are going to ride the Dingess Rum Trails on Thursday and Friday. Then on Saturday we are heading to the Browning Fork Trails. We are going to start at Rockhouse trail head and take the trail system all the way to the town of Gilbert. Stop for lunch and gas and then head back to Rockhouse trail head. Looking at the trail maps, they have green, blue, black, and gold trails. The black being most difficult. How difficult are the black trails. I have been riding since the age of 5 in the Hills of Northern West Virgina on some nasty trails, large rocks, steep rocky hills, washed out trails on steep hills. Is this what I should expect on the black trails or are they just almost impossible and very difficult for the experianced rider. Just curious. Wanta knowwhat I am in for. Kinda sike myself up.
