dynoport verse AAEN torquer. Bubba?

which would be better?
i like that I can keep a low engagement with both I think anything more then this will be abit radical. I don't want to run over 60pounds engagement. I ride tight woods and occasionally get to open her up on two of the trails normally ride.
the torquer would add some top speed since it will rev out some more then the dyno port which is a plus, but below that it doesn;t look to be much different then the stocker.
im looking for some fast acceleration. I really don;t need a top speed over 65mph but it would be nice=-).

I have personally run the Dynoport pipe and loved it. I had a 95 Sport and that pipe was one of only a couple that would fit it. This is absolutely no joke when I say that I put that pipe on, changed the primary clutch spring from the blue/green to a white, put in a set of s-58 weights, and picked up 5-6 bike lengths in a 300ft race. That was a huge difference. The engagement stayed about stock but it pulled like a frieght train until it topped out. I was ever s happy with it. The one thing I have had a few people tell me is that the muffler had more of a dirtbike sound, but it didnt bother me one bit. For a trail machine it is also great that the rpms of the motor will stay at stock and make it more reliable over the long haul. I have nothing against Aaen products one bit, Olav is a great man. The only pipe I ran of theirs was the top end pipe and boy was it noisey "tingy". Bubba

thanks for your input bubba your the only one I have seen run one.
how would this work with a 39mm PWK? I have on on the way.
I'd like to gain a tad on top if I could which Is why im leaning torquer. I wish there was a dyno graph for the dyno port. they say 9hp the torquer is only 5.

Hey Conig If you get the Dynoport(I am going to bid on it too) I wil trade an Aaen Torquer that I am geting for it.I need a pipe with close to stock engagment and the Torquer needs a Aaen green primary to work right.

you should be able to use a dalton black/orange with the torquer. the engagement isn;t that high. I will probable use my yellow at first.
If the dyno port works better for you I may just bid on the torquer since it will rev out abit more. I wonder how close the dyno port is to actually being 9hp.

I relly need to use a Dynoport but I wont go over $125 on it.But if I do get it I will make you a deal on the torquer. Like I have said before my wife dont like the higher engagment even with a Torquer(had one on my 400 sportsman) From your pics it looks more like you would like a topend pipe and there is an Aaen on ebay now. They pull from a low rpm on up to aboutt 6300 @48 hp to the torquer 6300@42hp. I really do like the sound of an Aaen pipe lots of folks dont. But I got to keep the 400 where the wife LIKES to ride it or she will not go with us.

yeah im doing the same thing only for the fiance, we doodle around some weekends and with the engagement I have now its hard.
I just noticed the dynoport got bidded high as heck. wasn;t me its way to earely for that. I won;t pay 100.00 for it. same guy is bidding them both up.
I wish there was a graph lower on aaen's site. it looks like the torquer is only extending the top rpm's out some more.
IM watching all of them as of present.

i'll tell you this, both good choices, the aaen can chosen in the low through top end pipe design while the dynoport is a single unit design
to run stocker rpm and engagement,i personally loved the dynoport in the few test back some years ago and was a great trail pipe,a lot louder than stock but great power increase at stock rpm.
choices is yours aaen can fit you better too with great kit,but i haven't
personaly tried them so far, hope that help...

Why is it that only some brands of pipes will fit older 400s? I have a 96 400 sport & I see only some pipes fit it. I'd like to get a silencer for it cause I hate the stock sound, any suggestions there.
Sorry conig, I don't mean to hijack ur thread.

its cool man hijack away.
check out my pics, the silencer on my 400, is a dg universal its basically a glas pack. It gives it a very aggresive sound and it added some seat of the pants feel. I think the feel was from this silencer being shorter. I got it from dennis kirk. I can;t remember the actual inlet size but Its the same size as the exhaust oulet on my stock muffler.
hope this helps.
Also awesome buggie I've been anting one bad.
