Default air box mod

i'm looking for any ideas that would make my air box a little safer. right now i have the snorkel removed and 2 extra holes of the same size drilled on either side of it. for the most part i do not have a problem with stuff getting in. i do tend to have problems when i get the tires spinning in water/mud. (imagine that) any ideas no matter how crazy let me know. thanks

I would reccomend that you start by getting rid of your stock paper filter and replace it with a k&n so that if and when it does get wet it doesn't turn to moosh, I would also put an outerwear on it to help prevent water, mud, and anything else that may come in contact with the filter. With the holes that you drilled I would reccomend getting a couple of tpi valves adn on were you removed the snorkel possibly pick up some fuel cell foam to put in the snorkels place. Hope this helps.
