I just had a new belt put on my 03 Sportsman. This is first time I have replaced the belt and I can tell already this is going to make a huge difference. My question to you is does this new belt require a break in period? I love how this machine runs now and I do not want to destroy this belt by not breaking it in if I have to. Your input is much appreciated!!

There is no break in period for belts. Just ride it like you normally do.

 

Use a factory Polaris *top cog* belt .

Before installation wash the belt in dish soap and water and let dry .

Check your drive clutch for burned on rubber and remove it if it is there .

That's about it , just go ride .
