Differences Between 2004 and 2005 SP 400?
#1
When looking for after market parts, I rarely see anything listed for the 2005s. Will 2004 parts work or was their a motor as well as body change?
Looking for a pipe with more low end and maybe a clutch for more low end.

I believe the same 425cc motor was used. That being said i think performance mods would be the same for an 04 to 05.
Also,as i once had a 400sp,I would say you'll be amazed at what a clutch kit will do to these machines!

Mechanicly, the 04.5 and the 05 are the same....correct me if I'm wrong....only changes being the plastic , racks, lights, ect.....
keep in mind the 04 and 04.5 are different in the central hillard vs. outside hillard, and the tranny

04.5 and 05 are not completely mechanically identical, the 05 has both inner and outer cv joints, and I am sure the wider stance required some changes in the driveline. Also longer suspension travel. Only slight differences, probably not anything that would decide if an aftermarket part would fit.
