Default 700 in deep mud & water

I had my 700 in some deep mud & water and everytime I got half way threw it would start to spit and sputter. I have read other post where people have silocone the plug wire boots to make it stop. Anyone else have this problem?

My friend has the same problem, we found that the coil is under the left front fender needs to be sealed, I would take it off and silicone it.

I think I will try and seal it up with some petroleum jelly tomorrow and hit a big mud hole or creek to see if that helped.

Most of the time we see this its because of steam. The air intake is taking trapped air from over the gas tank. I can usually tell when mine is going to do this. Many other quads like teh Grizzly have this same problem. Most folks around here either snorkel the air intake or drill vent holes up near it.
