I have a 01 500 magnum coming this week. I'm having the Polaris plow put on with the 48" blade.
After talking to people and checking out this forum it seems that its just personal preference between the Polaris, Moose and Cycle country plows. I am paying $400 installed. I was told not to use the longer blade for dirt/gravel and that if you catch the edge when plowing snow it can spin you around. I am trusting the dealer on this one. I'll soon see if it works well.

I have a CMP plow that I got from Shadetree Outdoors (1-888-Shadetree). Cabelas also carries the CMP plows. I think it cost around $300 with the manual lift kit. I use my winch for a plow lift, so I only bought the mount and plow. I really like the plow and mount system. It is easy to mount yourself. Only takes a few hours. I use a 48" plow. Hope this helps.

If your going to push dirt the 48" plow is your best bet. I wouldn't get one that small if you are going to plow snow. I had a 60" CC on my 425 magnum and it worked great. I now have a 99 sportsman 500 and will be getting a moose country plow. check this website out. So far cheapest prices I have found.

Slewpumper is right. Hi-per.com is the cheapest place I found for my plow. It was $100 cheaper than anyone else.
