Default Help please with my atv

Hey. We've had our ATV for about 2 weeks now. It's a 1996. We bought it from a family friend and he said there was nothign wrong with it. Anyways yesterday we were out riding and we noticed it sounded different. So today we were looking and the chain is still on the ATV but it's hanging kind of. So we wer ethinking maybe it is loose and that is what is causing the problem. If anyone knows what might be wrong with it or if you know how to tighten the chain we would appriciate it. Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure on your atv, but most have an eccentric rear axle. Loosen the mounting bolts and rotate the axle one way or the other and it should tighten the chain. Most require that someone is sitting on it to have the right tension when the springs are compressed.
