Default Ordered K&N: Jetting required on 2-stroke?

I just ordered a K&N air filter and outerwear for my '01 Xplorer 400 to replace my paper piece of crap. My quad is all stock. Is there anything I need to do with the jetting or should I be ok by just putting it on?

Thanks.

With my 2000 Scrambler 2-stroke 400, I replaced the crap paper filter with a K&N and outerwear, and I was fine. Polaris tends to be a little conservative on jetting from the factory.

Otherwise, if you're paranoid about being too lean, you can check the color of your plugs after a little riding. I believe you can also apply full choke at WOT, and if it kills, you're fine. If it runs better, you're too lean. Can anyone verify that?

Yes you are right, as long as you don't mod the air box, you will not have to rejet.

Thanks for the replies. I haven't done anything to my airbox so I should be good to go. I didn't think I would have to rejet but I wanted to check with the experts first before I did anything. Thanks again!
