thanks man I used the trailer ball method and got it off. I couldn;t find a 3/4-16 bolt anywere in my town. Trailer ***** also rarly have a way to tighten them down anymore I don;t know why. The ball I found with a nut type surface to tighten from required a 2inch wrench. I don;t see alot of people having a wrench this size on hand and they can get pretty expensive.
What do you do to keep the motor from spinning? I used a engine stop from rockymountainatv.com but had to modify it to work.
CED Thanks for your help, I thank everyone else as well. just wanted to post this for informational purposes incase someone searchs.

Impact is the way to go,if you jam something in the primary you might back off the back part of the spider, which is torqued to 140 ft/lbs.Glad you were able to get it off.

Hey conig. A electric impact works really well. Busts mine off no problem. Man I could never make that ball hitch work for me.

the spider needs a special tool I beleive.
I took my primary off to take it in a bag to the dealer to replace the buttons. The hope is that I will save in some labor costs, plus they usually hook me up.

Hi Guys,
What's the proceedure for replacing the primary clutch buttons? I just did the ones in the secondary and it was easy. I'm going to be installing a Heelclicker soon and was thinking I might just replace the primary clutch buttons while I'm in there if it's not a big deal.
Thanks, Bob
