Default intake and exhaust

I recently had a hot cam installed on my 02 700 sportsman . My cousin noticed that there are many air restrictions starting with the intake boot to the cylinder, also on the exhaust side going to the exhaust manifold. In about a month the plan is to open these areas up and let her breathe. IF ANY ONE HAS ALREADY TRIED THIS PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW YOU MADE OUT.
