The new 700 is a big improvement over the 660 but most of the improvement will be felt in the handeling. Being wider, longer and shorter should make the 700 a fine atv. As far as power goes, I just don't see any big difference. It's only 26cc bigger but it's in the bore. It has the same compression. EFI won't give it much, but should give it better throttle response. So power wise I don't think it will be that much. IMHO

I had decided to go with my second Predator, an 05 TLD to replace my 04, and was sidetracked by the new Raptor. I still think Im going to go with the Predator, I think its just more bike for the money, it looks like they still havent put much of a suspension on the Raptor, and the Predator is pretty impressive power wise for a 500 (my opinion) the Raptor never really seeming to be considerably more even with more cc's. I actually may wait until the 06's are out to see if any more improvements. Anybody have any idea when polaris releases the 06 Predator?

Althought my bansh is going nowhere, I have been doing alot of reading and research on the new Raptor EFI for my next 4stroke. I never have been fond of the old raptor but man this is an all around new machine and yes they will be hard and very expensive to mod, but he** what else does a kid still living at home have to spend his money on other than toys and women, lol
