Default SP800 and water

I have a chance to pick up a SP800 for what I believe is a great deal($7,200). I ride in river basins and frequently execute deep water crossings. Accidents do happen and occasionally we sink the quads. What happens if you sink an EFI equipped quad? That's my only drawback to buying one.

Also, someone HONESTLY give me an idea of how the SP800 stacks up in a drag against a Prairie 700 or a BF750.

you cant go wrong with the 800. if you drown it, dry it out like any other motor. it blows the prarie away, and is neck and neck with the BF750. the brute is a little faster, but is tippy, unstable, and usually a hassle to work with because even the lightest push of the throttle can bring the front up. in the times that i have dragged Brutes, for every 3 drags, the brute wins 2, but they act totaly different on differing terrains. pavement, mud, and loose dirt id give to the 800. the thing about the side by side motors is the torque. in a pull, the 800 would deffenetly win.

polaris has the highest stock snorkles in the industry

But what about the EFI system? Is it screwed if it gets sunk?

I have not heard of anyone sinking a 800 yet so this is a unanswered question right now. I know there water tight, but don't know if water proof. As far as the Praire 700 and the BF I would give the 800 the knod on the 700 and about a 1/2 lenth behind on the BF. However that is not due to less power, but having more weight. I took 40lbs off my 800 and at my race in FL. I passed 11 time champion Mike Penland on a BF in a straight away. He was a little heavier due to his tires. So the 800 does quite well, plus there has been very little problems so far with the 800 when compared to the BF.

That's the only concern I have then is the water issue. What about wheelies and powerslides? I know it sounds childish but I enjoy doing both. Does it wheelie like my BF used to(throttle only)? Does it powerslide well?

it'll wheelie from about a 7mph roll with just the throttle, but if your at a stop and hammer it, its got enough power to keep the thing climbing and have it fall back on you if your not carefull. and it will powerslide and doughnut if you ask it to. and the only way the EFI could have a problem from my understanding is if water got into the gas. teh EFI just injects fuel, not air too
