OH REAL NICE CHOPPER well first snow we get I'll meet you in the hills DON'T eat breakfast before we go I want you hungry as you'll be eating them WORDS!!!!! LO CM
I was at snowshow in DENVER last year there was guy there that had 3 old JOHN DEERE sleds he had sign on trailer said buy 1 get 3.There is museum in KARNEY NEBRASKA that has a whole bunch of old sleds really neat to see them.As far the sled dealer,I live close to DENVER and there are plenty of dealers around and CAT still sucks as far as sales.Go to JELLYSTONE (well you better hurry) and by far the sled you'll see most is POLARIS.When POLARIS came out with the XLT they sold more of them alone than YAMAHA sold of thier whole line of sleds.CM

I was not dissing AC, just seems around here there are not as many as others, but then again I obviously was not on every trail on everyride during every winter. and present when every sled was sold here either. Lincoln Maine , I have cousins that live there my grandmother lives in Howland. I know that area well lived there till I was 11. Actually we have all the dealers in town, Yamaha , ski doo , Polaris and AC. I rather like Polaris machines.
but I think up here as probably with allot of places, people ride the same kind of sled as atv, easier to deal with, and the AC dealership is fairly new. both sleds and atv's.

Same here wasn't bashing AC just setting facts straight don't know where that article camre from.My buddy rides AC hell he pee's GREEN,wouldn't catch him on anything else.I think each sled has it's place,we were at NATIONAL hill climbs in Jackson Hole WYO,and AC ruled the hill in the smaller classes, once you hit 700 class POLARIS took over.I have ridden the cat my buddy has and its smooth and comfortable,of course the old POLARIS gives him something to shoot at!!!!CM

I have 2 sleds out behind the garage that still run and need a loving home.

Anyone remember boaski? or aloette? (spelling?)
One is a 71 and the other is a 69

I would say that is a pretty good track record for such old sleds. (bogey wheels and all)
...And you want to talk about weight....

DItto, I wasn't bashing AC. Most of the riders here in Washington & Oregon own mountain type sleds. Several of the dealers only carry mountain sled. Polaris is the #1 mountain sled up here, followed by Skidoo then Yamaha & AC is last. I am sure AC sells well in other parts of the country just not in my area!

Well Chickenman is that your opinion or do you have facts and numbers. Up here in Alaska lots and lots of AC's. They are talking the Country not one area.
