Default Best 27"mudtire for ride quality SP800

My Pxt radials now have 360 miles with 8 plugs and three cans of fix a flat in them in 3 tires. The sidewalls are JUNK. I met 2 guys on cat 650's running 28" Mudzillas and were happy with them. I'm planning on putting them on the pol alum wheels i already have on and throwing the PXt in the trash. Anyone run 27s yet on their 800? Are the mudlights the best for ride. I want better sidewall toughness but dont want an *** beaten ride. My dealer says one other guy with the new 8 is having the same prob as me.

Hey Bionic, My buddy put mudzilla's on his 800 and my jaw almost hit the ground when we hit a bad bog.
This bog was about one quarter of a mile with no way around,we had a huge group that day so we had our work cut out for us.
A good portion of the Polaris's made it through but the (other brands) had huge problems.
My 800 went back to pull a few through on the stock tires you're talking about but after a while it was like the bog had no bottom.
My buddy however plowed back and forth getting people through without a problem all afternoon,as a matter of fact he even B trained some guys through at least twice. It was a phenomenal site and my buddy was all grins after that cause nobody in the entire group of 39 quads could slam Polaris.
These tires are quite rough when trail riding though.
I'll try to put a pic of it in later,to the untrained eye you can't tell what machine it is for the mud

I have the Bi/Tri-claws on my 800. Haven't had any problems. Never had other mud tires to compare them to but my friends all have hondas and grizzlies and with mudbugs, mudlites, or itp 589s and they can't hang with me. We got back from Trace State park in MS this weekend and although it was dry, there was quite a few soupy mud holes. I killed the mud in 2WD with my tires and made it through slinging mud 15+ ft. The hondas hit the hole and stopped!! I dug those things out BAD!! No chance for anybody else. But i was able to come back and hit them again in 4WD and make it. I love the tires but most people will tell you they like what they chose if they don't have much to compare it to. the Claws have been AWESOME for me on my 03 700 and my 05 800.

Silverbullet has 27" Mudlites for sale, they have large agressive lugs and are lite weight.
Dont toss the PXTs spomeone could probably use them for a spare!

My buddy has 29.5" Outlaws, without a lift, on his 800, and he loves them. We found very little that could stop him. The only thing he was using his winch for was to just connect to other fourwheelers. He had enough traction he just put his in reverse and pulled them out of some very deep mudbogs.

That means at least one is still good.

If pluging a high speed , high pressure car tire is fine it should be ok on low pressure and usually lower speed quads.

Hey BigRed

Can you get a pic of that 800 with the 29.5's on it. I'd like to see that and dream a little. I still haven't convinced my wife I "NEED" a new 800
