425 magnum help
#1
i have a 97 425 magnum and it seems after about a hour of riding it loses all its low end torque if i let it cool down for like 10 min its back to normal. It seems like when it gets warm it loses all it low end. Any ideas?

My old '96 425 used to do the same thing. I had done everything to it except cut the rev limiter wire and none of the other things fixed it - even the cam was perfect. If I had not sold it I would have cut the wire to the rev limiter and then started replacing ignition parts until I got it fixed.

Did you look into any of these items?
If these are OK:
1) Spark plug
2) Air filter
3) ETC adjust
4) Cam
6) Valve clearance
7) Carburetor / and boot
Then I would bipass the rev limiter. If the rev limiter doesn't fix it, then look to other ignition components.
