Default fixing scratches and body HELP

I bought a used 2000 polaris sportsman 500 and was wondering if there was anything I could do about the scratches that are in the plastic. Is there some kind of filler or something that i could buy? Also, has anyone ever repainted a 4wheeler and know the range that i would pay or if i could do it myself? Thanks for the help in advance.

if the plastics are clean and you are carefull you can use a heat gun to fix them up. if the plastics were bad enough and cracked everywhere i would just buy new ones in whatever color i wanted, but most people dont care and theyre covered in mud anyways

not too sure on this but posibly from your dealer if not they would know were. probably would cost near the 300 price range.but these prices change all the time and only go up. thats why i use a $30 heat gun and some scrap plastic

ive never heard of painting a quad before but if you can find the right paint i guess it would work pretty good and the graphics kits out there can be pretty sweet

There is special plastic paint but I've never seen it used on anything outside of like automotive interior panels.

the paint is known as Krylon Fusion for plastics, i have used it on our 3 wheeler, but it does scratch off and wears with time. it is NOT going to last like the color of your plastic though...just my .02 cents though

Yes any quad can be painted. The new 500 le's are painted black. Any competent painter can paint plastic ATV fenders are made out of the same stuff most of the bumpers today are made out of. There is a flex additive that needs to be added. I am going to be painting my quads one black and one Chevy forest green. The paint will scratch but if it is put on correctly with the right amount of coats and right amount of clear coat it would be hard to scratch.

Actually there is a thing to remove scratches with. Its called plastic renew. But its so much of a hassle (because all of the sanding) i would just buy new plastics
