Cooling Fans for Sportsman 500 - 700 twin
#1
My cooling fan started making alot of noise so I removed it and found the front bearing was out, I tried all day to find the exact model number fan and could not, so I called Spal ( The maker of our fans) and they told to replace the motor with a 30101500 (or 500 series from other people) because those fans are special order for polaris only. get this fan (it's the AP50 in the model number you need in the 500 series,) and just remove the motor and put it on your fan blade and shroud, worked like new one from Polaris, and has same model number too. Just thought I would save you from spending $219.00 when you only need to spend $85.00. I can help you with the vender if need be.

What I did was ordered the fan that Spal told me had the same Model number "Motor" (30100500) as the 500 - 700's, When I recieved it all I did was put my blade and shroud on it and I had a brand new fan again, if your blade or shroud are broken, I think it will still work just fine, except the mounting holes are different that attach the shroud to the radiator, but if all you need is the motor, your in great luck for few $$$. good luck, if you need some more help, please let me know. p.s this is so easy anyone can change it.. 4 screws, one small clip, and ta da !!!!

Contact the Fanman at the-fan-man@the-fan-man.com 1-866-435-6477 and order the 500 series fan (#30100500 pull fan) and he'll send it with free shipping. pull the fan blade then swap the motor to your shroud, reinstall the fan blade,"I used the one that came with fan because it pulls more air" . you will have to swap the electric connection ends as the right ones only come on the $219.00 fan from polaris, yikes !!!, but its no big deal. use shrink rap for wiring if you have it or at silicone the splice to keep it water tight. good luck, let me know if can help.
