i was thinking about buying a diesel qaud and i seen one at the polaris deeler i was wondering if there was a way to get alot of power out of these suposed slugs. ifd there is a site dont be afraide to mention it...

 

Put a gas engine in the frame.
Or you can put propane injection on it and make it move.

 

ya propane injection would pic it up a bit . but does ne company make performance pipes or nethign like that.

 

These things are slow because they are naturally aspirated. It would be like trying to hop up a Geo Metro. If you had a box full of money you could do it. These things worn't designed to go fast. They were designed to burn a common fuel.
Is this thing new? They have not made them in years.

 

it would be a big modding project and you'd have to know your mechanics, but if you bought a small turbo charger and mounted it, you could get some serious gains

 

I'm waiting for polaris to come out with another diesel ATV, just a twin with a turbo. I'd love to have a 700CC or so turbo charged diesel Sportsman. I'd turn that sucker up and blow some smoke with it! (yes, I'm a diesel fanatic, I've got TWO Dodge Ram Cummins diesels).
