When is the BEST time to buy a 2005 Sportsman?
#1
I'm looking to purchase my very first quad and wanted to know when I would get the best deal. I noticed that Polaris is running a new promotion right now offering additional rebates on the 2005 models. I'm looking at an 800 EFI and see that Polaris of Chattanooga has them for $6833.00. I realize this is a very good price but wonder if it will get any better. I originally thought that the 2006 models came out in September and that was when they had the previous model year clearance sales but now I am not sure. Thanks!

Also, is the rebate for the SP800 $500 or less?
Thanks!

That is the out the door price taking into account all rebates being applied to the sale. What they don't tell you is if it has optional equipment added to the machine that they will charge you MSRP for those options. Which if you traveled a fair distance to get their, might **** you off a bit. Especially if the options raise the price significantly.
I bought two motorcycles from them last year and the prices they quoted online were accurate for a base model machine. It was still a good deal for me. But only because I was already in the area. If I had to travel the 1200+ miles roundtrip today with gas prices and motel, etc. I would buy locally and still be ahead of Chattanooga's prices.

That's a great price, If you own a service garage. I'd check out the 06' and see if they have made any improvements if you gotta have one. If not I'd check out the Bomb 800efi. I't seems like a big rig for your first quad. I'd start out smaller. You're prob gonna mess up your first go around. Why do it with the most expensive rig? My2c

My sole reason for getting the 800 EFI is because it's gonna be a work horse. I live in 7.5 acres of woods and need to be able to haul firewood, pullout very large branches or decent sized tree trunks, etc. I don't want to be underpowered and disappointed. I'll also be pushing snow, etc. I would rather be safe than sorry.

By the way, just to give a little background, this won't be the first time I've ridden a quad. Just the first one I've purchased. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a veteran rider but am not a rookie either.
