sportsman 800 vs. 05' scrambler 500
#104
I hang out at the local Polaris dealer quite often and from time to time help them put their machines away at nite...they drive some of them out to the edge of the parking lot every morning and return them inside the fence at nite. One particular evening my mechanic friend was on a scrambler and salesman was on an 800...800 rider was 210lbs and scrammy rider was 190. They only raced a short distance from a dead stop, maybe 150-200 feet and let me tell you the scrambler WILL NOT win on bottom end. It wasn't even close, by the time they started braking the 800 was 30-50 ft in front of the scrammy. Both machines bone stock.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I love scammys...hell, it's more fun riding my 400 than my sportsman, well almost. I just know what I seen. If I could go out and buy another new four wheeler it would be a scrambler not a 800...but then my wife would really kill me!

No extreme, I wouldn't want that...but I am safe for now, I bought her a new Sea-doo for her birthday last month, how do you think I talked her into my sixth new four wheeler in a little over a year.
