What does it do? How does it accomplish it? What kind of rider should have one? What kind of maintenance goes along with it? How hard is it to install? How long will it last? Do you have one one? If so, do you have pics?

It allows you to run the chain slightly loose. the tensioner keeps it from being sloppy loose, but will allow the swingarm to travel the distance of the shock and not bind it or break the chain. In the end keeping from breaking the chain is what it's all about.

There's one for sale on Ebay now. If you're going to do a lot of jumping, you'll want to get one.

There were two on ebay but both were for non-concentric swingarm which I believe is '97 and older.

I run the HPD tensinor and the only thing I have had to do is replace the roller and bearings every yr or so.Cheaper than a chain or tranny.

How hard is it to install and where does it go?

I'm very mechanically inclined. A carpenter by trade but I also do all my automotive work (engine swaps, tune-ups, whatever) with a garage full of Snap-On so I'm not scared, just curious.

Do you have to loosen your chain to a certain point when installing it?
