So i'm riding through the field and i hit third gear and then it happenned, BAM! the engine stopped dead and the wheels locked up. the first thing i thought was, -- nevermind, inapropriate, the next thing i did was to grab the clutch and the wheels were still stopped. i stopped eventually, but when i tried to shift the gear selector and it would not move at all. no amount of force would make it budge. so i grab the clutch and give the starter a go and the pred roared to life. as soon as i slipped the clutch a little tho, it bogged and stalled without provoking anything that even resembled movement from my machine. also, the tires remained locked no matter what. any ideas about what the h3ll happenned to my 3 week old 2005 Predator? (it's under waranty, i know, bue i'm still curious, thanks guys!)

 

sounds like your gear box had too much free play between cogs, it has slipped in another gear at the same time,
take it straight to the dealer and demand a completely knew box,

 

sounds kinda like what happend tome when I shredded the clutch basket springs that hold on the gear on the back of the basket.when it happend to me it didn't stop running but i couldn't get it to shift,it was locked up untill i broke the shifter detent. but i was able to ride it home in 1st and 2nd.
sounds like you might have a different problem. DON'T MESS WITH IT JUST GET IT TO THE DEALER!
