I have an old fashioned '76 corvette. I don't care what mileage, it's too fun

oh, ontop of that, for 2006 everyone that owns a diesel gets tax breaks for "efficient automobile motor"
I doubt 21mpg. The cost of diesel also doesn't justify the mileage unless you drive alot of miles, plus you smell bad.
and Dodge, I would be ambarassed to say I owned one

What are you suggesting?

And I don't doubt that mileage, those diesels can really cruise on a tank.

My brother gets 16-18 normal everday driving in his 04 f-250 quadcab powerstroke. We reset the milage thing when we went to boston and it was getting 19-23 on the highway as an average. When we first reset it going down the highway it was in the high 20s low 30s but that wasn't acurate cause we were kinda coasting at highway speed.

Are you guys watching those digital mpg gauges or actually checking your gallons used?
My suzuki gets 99.9 mpg going downhill.
Nothing against you Ty, I just don't like some guy coming here bragging about dodge when he also drives ford and calls us silly.
There are lots of give and takes on gas vs diesel. I drive my truck 2,000 miles a year, I'm not spending the money on a diesel, that would be silly.

Diesel engines vs gas engines. I doubt 21 mpg @ 80 mph, maybe 18-19. Like Budman said, check actual gallons used. And within 3-5 years the EPA will be cracking down so hard on diesels that you will be hard pressed to find them in many consumer driven vehicles. And gas here is 1.95.....diesel is 2.60.

I don't understand why they are charging so much for Diesel, it is easier to make than regular gasoline.

I didn't mean to start this classic battle - it's a hopeless one anyway.

I had my second day of hockey tryouts today. oh my god, one more day to go. Can't wait until tomorrow night. I'll be done. .

And we also bought an xbox 360 Core this morning with all the accessories (so it is better equipped than the premium one). But I'm not opening it! I'ma wait until a week or two before christmas and put it on ebay, and hope some rich parent decides they MUST have it for their kid's christmas . Then I'll use the money to buy my own a month or two later when the price and demand goes down.

I was laughing at my friends -- a bunch of them camped out at the mall last night in the pouring rain to buy one at midnight. My mom went to bestbuy at 7 this morning and walked in and bought one .
