Hey BG! Everything here is great, girlfriend is better than ever. I've just been busy. Senior year of high school, getting ready for college, all that fun and stress! I want to major in engineering, just not sure which one yet. I'm thinking maybe a double major in Electrical and Computer engineering, with a minor in mechanical? Those are definetly the three I want to study, just not sure which order.
Hey Bryce, what did you study in college?

Wait, are you suggesting some things I read online aren't completely accurate? But it's the internet, how could it be wrong?
Grr, I'm having that thing where you have so much work to do, that you have to choose what you will actually do and what you can't yet -- and then later you do what you had to leave, therefore pushing back other work you had to do...
I went in late to school this morning to finish a lab report for physics. By doing so, I missed english class (excused, my understanding parents called me in sick). But I had a presentation due today for english. But one of my friends called me tonight and said that my english teacher was "super, super pi@@ed" at me, more than he ever thought she could be. He warned me to come up with a good excuse, he said that 'sick' wasn't going to be good enough.
So I have that waiting for me first period tomorrow.
Ahh, stressful. And college choosing, I have to write some essays tomorrow night to get my applications out. I wish I hadn't gone in late today so I could take tomorrow off and catch up. Too much work!
Sorry about the whining, just need to share!

Tyler, Just to make you feel a little better, I can tell you from experience that it gets better. As you get older the workload will probably increase. The time you have to complete this greater workload will seem to pass exponientally faster with each passing year. You will probably aquire a family of your own which will require a good two-thirds or better of the time you already don't have. All this time your body is aging physically and your mental capacity to focus will decrease. Hope this brightens your day and gives you some hope for the future.

Thanks, fireslayer . To be honest, I can't wait for the day I can come home to a wife and kids after a long day of work with plenty of work ahead. That's some payment, some reward. As it is now, I come home from an exhausting day of work -- then sit down and do a crapload of homework. Then try to get to bed early enough so I can do it all again tomorrow.
A family of my own will make it so much more worthwhile.

If you plan on a family, then you should looked to a career where you'll make some bucks. ATV's for you, the wife, the kids. And don't forget sleds. You're gonna want a boat for family trips to the lake. Wife and kids are expensive. If I could do it all over again, money would be a concern. And I'd try and save as much as possible beforehand. You know, they say you should have at least 3 months of your expenses in savings. I always thought that was BS. When I broke my scaphoid this spring I was out for 3 months. Would have been 4 with therapy, but I healed much faster than expected.

Well, my super-advance-not-yet-thought-out-just-guessing plan is to work really hard right after college, like be the kind of person I'd hate to grow up to be (always at work) for a few years. Get ahead, get some savings, get a foundation. Then a family after that. Otherwise it's not fair for me or my kids -- me not home, not enough money, etc.
