Unless 17 blows up, you'll be up another buck, Doc.

The last kid that was going to buy my wheeler called me today. He made it sound as if he was going to pick it up today. He just came and looked at it with a couple other dudes and a couple barely legal hotties. Then he said he's got to talk to his Dad, and he will probably pick it up on wednesday. He loved it, and his buddies loved it. They were drooling over my truck too.
There have been about 7 people who have told me to consider it sold for them, including this one. I had given directions to a 2 or 3 other people. One of them came and looked at it. That's part of the reason I brought it to my buddy's shop. I didn't know if they were just scoping out the location. And given what happened the other night, I feel pretty justified in my concerns. I took down the plate number just in case.

When I sold the Scrambler I should have put no trades in the add because I was offered fire arms, golf clubs,a boat, kayak all in 2 days. I let one person come over and he bought it he was the only one who would give cash for it.

Sparky, nothing wrong with being careful. There are some real dirtbags out there.

A lot of chat on here about NASCAR, but nothing about Indy. Could it be because only 10 of the 33 drivers are American, and nobody can pronounce the names of most of the other 23. Now the only reason to follow Indy car racing is the one hot chick that is competing. It's a shame that once you had to earn your way to Indy by bouncing off the walls in the bullrings in the midwest and east in Midgets & Sprint cars. And now if you are a European or South American aristocrat, you just buy your ride! Give me the old days when you would see the same drivers in USAC dirt cars at Springfield and DuQuoin Ill. in August and September that you would see at Indy in May. I guess I'm just an old man.

Indy is OK. Nothing that i would spend my weekend going to see, though. it's amazing how they go triple digits BUT one small bump and it's a disaster. At least nascar they can bump and grind most of the race. It's getting boring too. Too many rules. let the good ol boys race and duke it out at the end. I laughed when Tony Stewart called David Reutimans crewman, Billy Bad Butt. that was hilarious. Wish it could have gone further.
Nascar is also pricing us good ol folk out of the picture. Yes, there are some cheap seats at some races. We quit going to the rv infield in Vegas. Started out at $400 and now over $900 for the cheapest parking spot. Then you have to buy passes to get close to the pits whereas before we could watch from the comfort of our rv. AND they took out all the nice grassy areas for more parking. Now my poor dog, Bud, has no place to poop.
