We bought two used skidoo 440's. They go pretty good, but are kind of beat. I think sledding is a lot of fun, but am not "into it" like I am with fourwheeling, so they get no maintenance. I have very little idea about how they work lol.

You can't use them in the mud, so the mechanics of them don't interest me.

OMG, those are antiques like me. Are you one of us from the aged gang? My uncle had a sno-jet 340 and my dad still has a 440 Evinrude bobcat with the original manual. It just blew these guys minds with their new sleds when my dad would pull up on this behemoth and it would start with every pull.

I had a 440, melted the pistons in it. Nothing runs like a Deere, maybe a wounded one.

Lol I have an old deere lawn tractor (with the rear engine). We were trying to start it to play with it (the mower deck is long gone) but the gas was in the oil. So shot piston or rings. Would have been a fun toy. Maybe next summer it can be a project, lol. Good training on engines though.

I'm old enough to know better I don't see why I need new sleds when I have these two that are in perfect working order. And could take first prize in an Antique sled show.
