can u get a winch for an 02 500. also, do u needa different bumper and also is there al reaedy wiring for a winch or do u need to tap into the harness. thanks.

 

Polaris used to make a winch kit for the Scrambler that came with a new front bumper.
It's discontinued now.
I got lucky and found someone that sold me the just the bumper for $150 and bought a winch on Ebay for $150
The kits(bumper and winch) sold for around $425-450 I think.
You might call around to different Polaris dealers and see if they still have a kit laying around.

Warn makes a bracket to mount a winch on the back of a scrambler.
My winch came with it's own harness, didn't need to tap into the scramblers.

Look at the pic when it's approved.

 

I've been looking for the exact same thing with no luck.

I know Warn makes a smaller winch for the sport bikes but I haven't been able to find a mounting kit.

I bought my 03 scrammy with the winch installed from the dealer.

 

alright, i guess i will have to make my own mount and find a cheap winch on ebay.

 

Let me know if you come up with anything as far as the mounting goes.

I believe you can still get a front mount kit from Parts Unlimited. It is a winch mount kit for a Cycle Country plow. The winch mount kit is part number 4505-0114. Retail ~ 80 bucks. I will make sure and get back.

guys look at my pics, i made my winch and its not that hard you just have to build the mount to the winch. I also no another way to make a mount which is also a good easy way to make a strong mount. Any questions just ask me.
