I must say the 700 is snappier than the 500. The sound of the 700 is awesome too! The 700 efi just feels stronger than the 500. The 700 has a good deal of clunking from the drive line. Some of this can be avoided with getting used to it. It will clunk quite a bit hitting bumps on the trail. Riding this thing makes me feel it will go any where!!!! I don'tknow the top speed yet due to breaking it in. My 04 sp 500 had more power than our 05 500 due to the 05 having bigger tires. The 700 efi is instant on the throttle. So far, I'm not dissappointed in trading the 500 for the700efi.

I have 48 miles and have not raced them. I need someone to ride the 500 to do so!!!! I will say the 700 is way snappier than the 05 500! The 700 twin has a awesome sound as well. I'm wanting to go riding but I hate to get the 700 muddy!!! I know you all will laugh at me for saying that. I have been thru many mud holes in the past but will avoid them as much as I can with the new quads!!!!

Never been to haspin but our atv club has gone. I go to Redbird, LCRA, and a few other places. Mainly ride the county roads looking at deer in the evening. Have you been to haspin? I also have rode at the badlands once.
