Anyone been to OR dunes?
#1
I am up near Seattle and am going to Florence at the end of the week and have a couple of questions about regulations down there. First, how high does my flag have to be? Also, I have current WA tags and registation so do I need OR stickers too?
Thanks for any help.

I have never been there, but ask that ? on the "where to ride "Puget sound area riders Thread? They go there alot and can tell everything you need to know. You can meet alot of nice people to ride with in this area. They are planning a trip down there in Oct. with 50 or more riders.

Hey bigdumbfun,
As Dazeys said, the other thread is great, go there and introduce yourself.
Not sure on the height of the flag, but your Washington sticker is good in Oregon. If you buy a rip-rod (flag), you'll be good to go.
Browse .Oregon Off Highway Vehicle Association for more specific information on the dunes. It's a pretty good website.
There is a 93db limit on the noise, so if you think you're too loud, don't go around honkin' on it, they usually go for the guys showin' off.

It May take awhile to try to read all those threads Just click on last and read the last couple of pages.
There is a few of us heading to Sandlake this weekend, if you are interested in a shorter drive.
I believe the flag has to be visible 5' above the vehicle, also to drive your truck on the sand you need a sticker and a flag.

Man I would give my left nut...no wait my right nut....well probably not either but I would really really love to go someday. Check out this site. A friend of mine helped put together the pictures for these sites. It has more places to ride dunes than I've even heard. Great site check it out.
