I am thinking about adding another atv to my collection. I have narrowed it down to a wolverine or a scrambler 4x4. One of the first mods I always do is tires and rims. One thing that bothers me about the scrambler is the 2 different size tires they run on the front and the back. That will limit the selection of tires I have for it if I want to go up just 1 size on it which I will.
What tire and rim combinations are some of you using and how does it do. I would like to be able to run Bear claws on it if possible.

I run Bearclaws on the rear and they do great. I stayed with the stock wheels since I have the aluminum ones. I want to go up a size one of these days too but not sure if it would kill too much power. Plus, next spring I will change the front tires...I hear that aftermarket tires are much better also up front.

I have Bearclaws all the way around on mine. I was searching and trying to decide which way to go for months before I purchased them. Because of the different sizes.
This is what I have.
Front 23x8x11 on Douglas 190 wheel
Rear 22x12x10 on Douglas 190 wheel
Wheels are stock off sets and widths.
$406 to my door from Chapparal
This is what I encountered.
1) Front studs aren`t quite long enough 1 thread short. Been running them that way no probs.
2) The rears are very close in circumfrence to the stock ones. The fronts however are larger but not overly. I think this helps because it changes the ratio the awd kicks in instantly vs the slight lag with stock size.
3) They are stiffer and heavier which makes for a rougher ride but in my opinion the added tracksion and handling are worth it.
4) The tread depths are different front to rear I am told there are old and new styles. Rear depth 7/8 " fronts depth 5/8 " I think if the fronts were the 7/8" also they may be too big just a guess though considering they are so close now.
The Kenda Dirt Devil in the same configuration were also a concideration but not quite agressive enough for my riding terrain. I think it would be harder to find tires for the Wolverine in stock sizes. HTH
