Default Water in the pull start.

I have a 00 4x4 Polaris scrambler 500. When ever i go into water, i check the pull start and when i check it, the courd is always wet. Now befor you say the handle on the courd isnt around the top of the rim at the top, well it is. It is on all the way, it cant go on any more. I dont no how else water could get in there.

yea if its like the tbs (trailblazer) its an easy fix but be sure that u get ur coad wound tight that way you dont have to keep removing the cover just hold the cover on the wit u hand and pull it out and see if it sucks back in

Thats a must after riding on water to protect the starter and keep things froim rusting.
I was told by a tech to spray wd40 in the top hole of my 400 recoil housing.

i don't know if a scrambler 500 is the same as my explorer but the cord and spring should stay intact when you pull the cover off. i don't think you have to mess with winding it up. somebody let me know if there different for future reference.
