Default Sportsman Speedometer...

Yes, I have seen this covered here. I am hoping that someone can just tell me how to test/remove the speed sensor. I have the factory manual - but I took a quick look and I can't even find the section where the speedometer is covered. I read here that it is on the right front wheel. I do not have another machine to test the speedo. And my AWD is working - so it looks as if it is the sensor. Maybe anyone who has the manual can even point me to the section where it is covered or give me a quick and dirty removal procedure - is it just a couple of bolts?

Very easy , one bolt at the caliper mount and a electrical clip onto the back of the speedo.
Worst thing is routing it, you'll need to pull the front rack and hood off to make it easy.\

I got the file with the testing procedure, thanks. I substituted a 6 volt bulb and a 6 volt battery pack I had instead. I am assuming this is fine as long as the batteries will power the bulb sufficiently (anyone differ on that?) - cause I got no light when testing.

I think that should work just fine. I resently had to change my hall effect sensor because it was bad the speedo needle is the only thing that quit working on mine.

Can the testing procedures be posted here? or are they too large? I have two speed sensors and I am unsure if both are bad or if my speedo is . . .

Tellico Plains, TN - Visited there just a few weeks ago to check out the Tellico river and stopped by a very nice Bistro there by the river, if you are ever in this area, it is very much worth the $ to stop and eat. Not that I am telling someone who lives there anything he does not already know :-) Would love to bring the 4 wheeler down along with my white water kayak, but no one else in the party was a wheeler.
