Default 29.5 Outlaws

I was given a new set of 29.5 Outlaws. I think these tires are too big to turn on my Sportsman 500, and was thinking about trading them for 27" Outlaws. My main question is, what do you guys think I should do?

trade them.....i wouldnt put that big of tires on a stock quad, first of all yes there too big to basically turn and they'll scrub on the fenders like crazy too!

plus w/o mods thats alot of weight to haul around, and u'd need a lift kit so yes if i were i'd get all the stuff u need, lift kit, etc...no jk lol but yeah prolly not a bad idea to trade for 27's

You should be fine. I am sure they will fit. I know people that have them on Arctic Cats 500 with no problem.

However if you don't do a lot of mudding it might be a waste.

hehehe

your going to need a clutch kit for large tires, some THICK wheel spacers, and a High Lifter lift kit to run those, not to mention, you'll probebly want alot of performance parts to make up for the lost power

I've got some 27" Gators I would be willing to trade for the 29.5 Outlaws.

need something with more sportyness to it. for me, the 800 is a big muscle car, its a dodge charger, does it handle well? its alright, could be significantly better, does it pull good? your god d@mn right it does!

but for me, i need more of a lighter BOSS mustang with a solid rear axle

now i know that is a really terrible analogy for whats happening, hehe, but im tradeing in my 800 for a predetor, i know i'll probebly regret it in a few ways, but i run with dirtbikes, all dirtbikes, and in the 5 years that ive ran 4 wheelers, the ONLY time ive EVER needed 4 wheel drive accounts to 6 times. 4 of those 6 in the snow, 1 of them in a river, and 1 of them just resently trying to back out of a pile of brush i bet my friend i could go through

becides, how many 800 pound lugs of steel do you see flying 3 feet in the air anyway? not me, the ones i see doing that usually have bent A arms or something, and if i keep up jumping my 800 i dont want to pay for broken parts

so, plain and simple, the 800 isnt sporty enough and lacks mods that i want to do and is a little big for my tastes, the predetor fits me good, i dont want the outlaw because i like solid axles and im not going to buy a first year run quad with a brand new frame. if a motor breaks, thats fine, but if the frame breaks, thats a whole different story, i dont want to be popped in half :S

Opps, sorry. I guess I was comparing it to the Arctic Cat 500 where stock 30" tires would fit. Didn't know the Sportsman was that much different in size so I assumed it would work.
