Had my 700 EFI hunter edition for a couple weeks. I think I made a huge mistake. The atv is better than I anticipated and I can't concentrate on anything except riding it. I'm on my way out now to hit the mud! It rides like a dream and goes anywhere. I have zero complaints so far. Factor in all thats included with a stock Polaris and its a tough, tough, tough arguement that their not the best buy. If you buy another brand you'll want to upgrade the tires, skid plates, add some extra storage and whatever else. This is my 3rd Polaris and I've been very satisfied with all of them. Can you tell?

Only mistake I think I made was when spending that kind of money on a quad I should have gotten the 800. I had some minor issues with mine when it was new but other then that it is an awsome machine!

Default 700 EFI?

I bought my 700 EFI Sportsman a week ago, it has only about ten miles on it. I haven't rode it over 30 mph cause the dealer told me to let it brake in for a little while. When I was doing research to find the correct atv for me, people (including friends) told not to buy a polaris because supposly they were the worst crap in earth, now that I have my atv they are incredible amazed by my polaris. They can't believe the way it looks and the power it has. I need to take my atv to the trail to compare it with my friends Brute Force 650, as soon as I do that all let you all know how it did. I wont say my Polaris is the best, but I'll definetely say that it is the best atv I have ride so far.

I LOVE MY POLARIS.

This is a popular question.

In short, the 700efi is really awsome. For me, I am moving to the Bombardier 800 for no other reason than I want more power and a little lighter machine.

The Polaris is perfect for utility, trail riding with a great ride, and I have been very happy with fuel economy. The SP800 may be a good choice as well. But, I have heard a few complaints about fuel economy on the SP800.

Otherwise, I have no problem reccommending the 700EFI to anyone.

I also just bought one about 3 weeks ago. Upgraded from an '04 SP400. I've only got 5 hours on it, but have taken it on the trails a little. I cannot tell you how awesome it is. The power, comfort and looks are excellent. As far as Polaris goes, each of my 2 '04 SP400's had 1000 miles (110 hours) and never had a problem with either one. I do take good care of them (regularly maintained) and they never let me down. I'm sure I will feel the same about the 700EFI.

Well my story goes like this, Last weekend I went down to the dealer to test drive a few different models to see which one would be a good upgrade from my prarie. first I rode the suzuki and came away very impressed with everything. Ive already ridden the grizzly, and the bf750(not the same day) so next was the polaris. It was a 700efi with about 2 miles on it so of couse it was new. It was not fun. The engine was loud and had a clunking sound coming from somewhere, it would rev up slightly before the belt drive engauged causing it to lurch forward from a stop more than im used to, the plastic rattled everywhere, and it vibrated through the handlebars and floorboards so much that when i stepped off of it my feet tingled. Now im not sure if this one was just a lemon or if they are all like that but it might be a good idea to test drive a few other ones before you commit. Just my 2 cents

think all polaris do that....rattle a lil bit. my brother used to have a 01 300 heavly modded for the mud and it rattled a little bit. my dad just bought a 700 efi about 2 weeks ago and loves it (it rattles a little bit). i just picked up my 700 sp today thats carbo (and it rattles a lil bit). so may just be a characteristic with polaris....nothin wrong with a lil plastic rattlin though....not gonna be able to hear it over the loud pipes i'm fixin fixin to put on it
