I've had problems

rear breake line rubbed against rotor during my first race..no rear brakes after 5 miles

water pump gasket went bad

in the shop now with a bad valve (S?) need to be shimmed after less than 50 hrs ride time.

plastic in the rear sags

sence new cant get it started in the cold weather..needed to be tow started.

High beam element prematurley burned out after exactley one week of ride time.

bad crimp on the ferrule of the oil line needed to be replaced under warranty

next bike more than likley a Yamaha.

Ihave the '03 with no internal mods (yet) and have ridden it hard, Absollutely no problems. Also got the 05 tld, ridden it hard and so far no problems. If you go pred, go tld in my opinion.

To me, the YFZ doesn't seem any more reliable. I don't own either, just an observation of quads in the riding group.

^^^^^

Prolly leaning more towards the Raptor anyhow..

Wont race it just trail ride it.

I will say this this about Yamaha..I owned a 89 YZ 125 and raced it for 3 years only thing I ever did to it was change plugs

Got out of riding when Mom and Dad stoped paying for it got my Warrior and beat the hell out of that thing without a single problem.

My Polaris I cant keep on the track or the trails, cause its always in the shop.

I assumed you were talking about the YFZ for racing. My friend is always having troubles with his '04 YFZ. He put Honda decals on it b/c he wishes it was a Honda.

The 700R is a sweet ride. Good luck with the Pred. How much would you sell it for?

i agree though, polaris products i think in my opinion are very high quality in compairison, just require a much larger amount of maintanence

Well I jumped the gun when I said two hinson clutch baskets. The last on didn't blow! The shift spring fell off because it was wore out. I replaced it and it is good now!I just need to rejet it now.
By the way I didn't have my hands duct taped to the clutch and the throttle, when the frist basket went,I was riding up a hill and it started the stutter then my shifter broke and i was stuck in 3rd.That is all. But it is fixxed now and I going to beat it now>
