Default K&N filter and re-jet?

I heard that if you put a K&N filter in you have to re-jet it. Is this true?

DON"T use the drop-in KN! It's a POS!! You will get dirt & sand in your engine because it doesn't seal worth a damn on the Predator. The filter will slip between the airbox & lid & will not hold a seal!!
