Pull off the stator cover. Look at the pick up coil that is mounted beside the flywheel. This triggers the spark as part of the flywheel turns past it. It should be almost touching the flywheel.

Many times I have seen the small bolt that holds the pull start spool on the cover come off and it gets caught between the flywheel and the pick up and it bends the pick up bracket away from the flywheel and you completly loose your spark or it has spark only sometimes.

If it is bent just bend it back where it needs to be.

You may get lucky and not have to buy any expensive parts.

It is well worth it to look at this.

I have seen this happen so much that everytime I have the cover off a Polaris I remove that bolt and put loctite on it.
