are the lower cases the same on a 350 and 400? local shop has set of cases for 350 brand new for great great price not sure if will work on 400 do know crank is the same and cylinder should bolt down correct?? is it that the bore is different please help want to have back togther buy end of month

 

They won't fit . Base gasket is different .

350 and 400 cranks WILL swap .

Counter balancers WILL swap .

is the actual base different size or dose the hole where the rod is need to be bigger for piston clerance? is the 400 cylinder bigger diameter than the 350

 

yes.......that is why it is a 400......not a 350........

 

The bolts are in the wrong place , the ports are different (old lawsuit forced change) , it is just not going to work .
