425 Magnum problems/ cutout HELP!
#1
I have a 98' 4x4 425 Magnum that just started messing-up. About a little more than half throttle it cuts -out ,poping thru the carb and just bogs down.If you back off,it will idle smooth and if you rev it up slow,it's fine tell you get about 3/4 throttle. Checked fuel, valves, carb,ETC,with no luck, Could it be the limiter????? anyway to adjust?....
Thanks for any help.........MavP

I had an EX400 that did the same thing. If I ran at part throttle for 20-30 seconds and tried to accelerate it would die and fall onits nose. If I backed off just a little it would be ok. I found that dirt in the tank and a dirty fuel filter was causing the fuel bowl to empty out an it could not recover fast enough. Hey its a cheap thing to look into.

Did you ever find the problem with your 425 Magnum? I have the same exact 4 wheeler and similar problems you have been having.
Mine idles fine but spits and sputters when you open the throttle. Thanks, PNB
