Default TRAILBOSS 325

HEY GUYS AND GALS. I HAVE A QUICK QUESTION. MY DAD OWNS A 2001 TRAILBOSS THAT USUALLY RUNS GREAT, BUT AS SOON AS IT GETS WET IT MISSES. IT HESITATES LIKE CRAZY. IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS ON WHAT IT COULD BE PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I TALKED TO SOMEONE AND THEY SAID THE COIL COULD BE DRYROTTED BUT IDK. ANY INFO WOULD BE APPERICATED..........................THANKS.

you could put some dielectic (sp??) grease on the coil and see if that helps it..

Sounds like you're drowning the spark. Easy fix is some dielectric gel from the auto parts store around the plug boot. Check the wires too. They may be rotted.

I had this problem with my trailboss , all of a sudden i hit a small puddle and it would shut down or spudder , I did what the others guys just told ya and put some D.E.G. on the plug boot and it was gone , I also like to ride in wet conditions and put some all over the coil wire and around most the electrics under headlight plastic and havent had a problem since.
Hope this helps ya.
