I agree GE........but the only thing that comes to mind is that people were catching the braided line in the suspension somehow, and breaking it(or catching it in the movement in the quad from jumping).....plus, I bet it is a little easier to install.....so that would benifit polaris too......

as far as i know its the same shock being used on the rear of the outlaw. you adjust it by sticking a screw driver in the adjustment screw underneith the seat on the left hand side. i can adjust it without getting off the quad too, i just cant find were to put the tip of the screw driver in

So is there any performance difference or is it just schematics, different mounting place for the reservoir? And I could use some pointers on adjusting the suspension. The book isnt much help. Is it pretty straightforward, if I want a softer ride just adjust everything out at the cost of handling? And is there a preferred setting one way or the other for heavier riders?

well you adjust the brass screws at the top of the resiviors, to access the rear screw look above the front sproket, you can see to the shock and the screw is visible.
i do some very, very fast tight woods, drag, and open field running, and i turned my front shocks out 3 clicks (each click is VERY noticeable on the butt-o-meter) and the rear shock i turned 4 clicks out and left the Rebound dampening (brass screw surrounded by red-anodized washer at the bottom shock mount) the same
this offers a very nice ride, and as far as performance i have not noticed any less performance from the shocks, the only thing your changeing is the compression dampening.
take an half hour out of your time in your back yard and ride around and do your own settings, you might even want to turn them up for all i know

i'd probebly end up killing myself
is it a stock class? if so since i already have a aftermarket pipe from the factory, am i disqualified? i think the closest GNCC race is in indiana, in crawfordsville, thats about 2-3 hour drive maybe
is there like a cash pot for winning or just a trophy?

They have a stock class, but it's full of ringers from Pro-Am and A riders, so this class is basicly the Pro class in the mourning race. There are no cash awards, but there are many contigency money out there. Just the way your set up you can get money from Polaris and Maxxis if you come in the top 5 in your class.
